We started early around 7:30 and it was already 80 degrees! Start early for sure. A lot of shade which was nice, however shaded areas were very buggy, recommend a net for your hat.  Otherwise gorgeous views, did five oaks trail as well, got some gluten free pie in Julian right after! Delicious.
