The first time I hiked Baldy was a couple of years ago, with a friend. It was grueling and I was sore for a week. Since then, I have been hiking Baldy every year. It never gets easy, but I sure do better these days, and it still is a gorgeous hike. It was hot in Baldy Village, but only in the low 60’s on top. That last stretch from the notch on the fire road is still boring and it gradually gets hotter with every step.
