The trail was great, a few spots where water run off is creating some mild terrain as well as some slanted areas. The weather was beautiful, I think I lucked out, since I know Julian gets much warmer this time of year, I think when I parked my truck Thermometer on the road said 74. When I got back it said 82. I'm so happy I started this challenge, I want to complete it in preparation for the Stairway to Heaven in Hawaii in remembrance of my brother who we lost last year. I didn't stop which I was super happy about the trail was really clear minus the occasional weed in the middle of the road, I saw rabbits, possibly a turkey (it was in abush) and some sort of deer jump across the road when I was approaching the summit. It was a beautiful start to the day, I had the mountain all to myself, I truly enjoyed the peace of it. Can't wait for the next one!
