It is HOT ???? in Central Oregon! Met Ethan and carpooled to the Mount Bachelor West Lodge and started the hike at 6:10 am.

Didn’t see anyone else coming down as we ascended, but two separate trail runners passed us heading uphill. Skies were a little hazy. Seems to be smoke drifting up from Yosemite.

Wandered around the summit and soaked in the views, then headed back down. Lots of people headed uphill as we descended.

Total hike time: 4:43

Moving time: 3:46

Met “Jamie” on his way up with skies.
