I’ve summitted this mountain before via Marion, but this time we used the tram to bring us up to 8500’ then hiked up to the summit. This route was spectacular.  We caught the second tram up at 8:15am. As soon as we got off of the tram we could feel the cooler air. After filling out the permit at the ranger station we were off. It is a well-marked trail with plenty of signage. Beautiful views all around. No summit sign at the top, phooey. Rangers said it was stolen. We spent about an hour at the summit just enjoying the views before heading back down. The stats – 11.25 miles out and back, 7.5hrs with breaks, brought 4L water (drank 2.5L), 30oz. electrolytes, summit sandwich, and various salty/sweet snacks. It was a great day!
