Wildflowers blooming

First time trying this, definitely a workout! I was a bit intimidated as this was hike #1 of my Six Peak Challenge. I passed a fellow hiker who was taking a breather on a bench who asked if I needed to sit down, and thought “Oh god! I must look like I’m in over my head!” Haha! (Turns out he was just being courteous.)

It’s pretty much all uphill, the Five Oaks Trail cutout is highly recommended. It’s got some switchbacks to make it a bit more fun. The views are so amazing! It reminded me of Tuscany in Italy. I timed the season perfectly as teh wild flowers were blooming. My pictures did them no justice. It was breezy and almost cold (my hike was mid to late morning), thanks to a comment made by a previous hiker I made sure to layer up!!
