Got to the trailhead about 6:15am and there were a couple spots left.  Weather was perfect, clear and cool in the morning and warm and breezy in the afternoon.  Hiking through the burned forest is interesting. I think it's worth doing for anyone who loves spending time in the woods.  There are plenty of flowers blooming and small plants growing in.  Trail was in great shape, much appreciation to the trail crews that must have been out there after the storms.  The views are amazing all along the hike.  Getting to see the other peaks (Baldy, Gorgonio, Jacinto) from the summit is cool.  Overall definitely recommend this hike.  It's long (I tracked 16.5 miles), but there's nice flat sections in between the steeper parts, and even the steep sections are not bad.
