Turtlehead Peak!

I started from the parking lot at 6:15am. Was too hot by 8, as soon as I started the ridge climb and was out of the shade. I’d have enjoyed starting 30min earlier! The climb up was challenging and fun, but the way down was very slow — same duration, total 5h. Views are beautiful and there’s a log book at the top to sign. Highly recommend for later, after Oct 1. Only wildlife was a beetle, grasshopper, little lizard and a glimpse of a tiny bird on the peak.
