The trail was in pretty good condition. The uphill section from Mill Creek to Vivian Creek camp is certainly a leg burner. We took the majority of the day to get up to the summit – carrying 47 pounds did NOT make it easy. Sunset on the summit was gorgeous, with light winds (10mph) and a clear sky. Sunday, 8/28, we woke up in the clouds, with 40mph winds. Once we were below 10,000′, we were in the clear. Coming down was just as tough as going up, but in the end, it was certainly worthwhile.
