For some reason, my son and I decided to tackle Sizer on a brutally hot August day. Highs stayed in the mid-upper 90's all day, and made the climbs even more difficult. In the end, we needed water replenishment by the ranger and a couple of kind campers.
The conditions turned a hard hike into a march. Glad to have finished, but we won't under-estimate the heat again.
