Hey, guys. I don't mean to sound like Strawberry Peak was boring. I recall on the trail app either for this peak or for Sawmill, that it was a good idea to download a trail map ahead of time. There would be other summits, and it would be easy to confuse the peak you're hiking to. Probably Sawmill. Anyway, I simply remember to walk north and west. There weren't any signs except at the beginning to tell me this is Strawberry Peak. I also recalled the app describing it as popular which was very practical for me. I'd ask cyclists and other hikers passing me the opposite direction, and I received plenty of clarity. Sadly, there weren't many trees. A rocky trail the last 2 miles. I saw 3 different mountain bluffs, but after going around one and up those next 2, I finally discovered Strawberry Peak and was incredibly proud. I took 2 months off due the summer temperatures. Although, we're still in summer, the weather seems to be moving to fall early. It was a pleasure driving out to the Angeles National Forest. I've never been there before. Even if I should max out on my peaks, I might come back another time to check out Mount Wilson. Thank you.
