We started the hike at 7.20 am. It was a shady start to the hike as the sun hasn’t risen. The initial part of the hike was easy and fairly flat. There were parts you had to walk single file and it was unavoidable to hit foliage as you went. Long pants and sleeves recommended. The next two miles to the peak definitely had more elevation gain. It had some beautiful scenery and some rocks you had to climb over. Once closer to the top it was like you hit a peak went down and up to another peak until finally you made it! The views around the peak were majestic. By this point though the heat was getting strong and I definitely wished we had done an earlier start. Hike number 2 complete – definitely liked this hike.
