Wild Weather Summit of Mt Mansfield VT

We tackled this open summit on a wild wintry type day in the clouds. We encountered ice covered trees and some slippery rocks… but the wind ….was insane! Steward said 40 mph… seemed legit. Many times felt wind was going to blow us over! We took our ten year old Chessie and he did great! No views during our short summit recovery but on the way down clouds parted at various times and we could see the colorful leaf pallette starting to show.  Great family adventure and memorable way to wrap up the 2022 6pack series ????
