Start: 5am at the road outside of Jacques Ridge parking lot (locked gate prevented me from driving further)
Hike up: Road to Mt. Umunum trailhead, trail up to the summit in the dark (there was a full moon, but still needed the headlamp on the trail)
Summit: no one there, beautiful sunrise views and 360 of Mt. Hamilton, pacific ocean, etc., interesting information posted about the mountain's history
Back: Saw a few other hikers at the lookout, on the trail, and back at the trailhead
Overall: Nice hike (except the road bit), amazing views, and interesting history
