Wow! Doing Belknap Crater after already completing South Sister was such a treat. It felt MUCH easier, but we weren’t tired and ready to be off the trail at all. It was our favorite trail basically of the whole challenge and whole year. Will be doing this one again! It was stunning and walking on lava rock is such a dream. I enjoyed it so much! We stopped up at little Belknap Crater and that little cinder scramble was so fun to the top. Views of Mt. Washington the whole way up were incredible. It was pretty hazy, but we lucked out with a clear patch once we reached summit. Would like to go back and do an overnight there! Only seen one other person the entire trail and we started at about 2:45 and finished about 6:45pm. What a great way to finish off the 2022 Central Oregon Six Pack of Peaks Challenge!
