Finally #6! This is my 2nd time doing Charleston! I had was unsure if I was going to commit to doing it that day, but I had to make sure I completed the Challenge before winter! The fall leaves changing were amazing and I am glad I did go. I started at about 7am, and got to Echo at 8:15. Scenic rest at 9 and hit the saddle at 10:20. The rest of the hike to the top is like a saunter through the meadows, then a dead forest, then the loose gravel up to the top. Hit the peak at about 1:30! It was a beautiful day. I was worried it might be too dusty but it was just perfect. The 360 views are just, jaw dropping. I was so elated to have made it to the top, to be able to see these amazing views, and that I just completed my 6th peak!  I ate my packed lunch, signed the book and headed back an hour later! Did not make it back to the saddle till 5pm – an hour later then I wanted LOL. This did set me up for sunset views on the way down and it was beautiful. I made it back down South loop after 7pm. This hike ended up taking 2 hours longer then the first time I did Charleston! I can't wait to get back into my groove, and do Charleston for my 3rd time next spring! Thank you 6 pack for the challenge and something fun to track these beautiful peaks we get to experience!
