The hike started with an unforgettable experience. A buck racing down the canyon seemed to be headed straight to our path but ended up doing an unexpected turn.  Definitely something to remember.

Continued the climb and enjoyed the change of color in the trees and the fallen leaves on the trail.

At the top, took an extended break.  Soaked in the views, explored the telescopes and enjoyed some apple pie at cosmic cafe before heading down to Sierra Madre.

Caught a bit of rain on the way down and spotted a light rainbow peeking through

Finished up the hike with spectacular views of a full moon rise to the west and cotton candy sunset hues to the east.

It was a good day!
