Crispy Trails and Snotty Nose

I wasn’t sure if this would be a success after yesterday’s winds and an overnight forecast for rain and snow atop Charleston.  I got an early start and the weather was crisp!  Above the saddle, everything was encrusted with ice, and Griffith Peak was gleaming.  But, the trail was mostly free of ice and I ascended.  I did not, however, get to enter my name in the log book since the ammo can was encased in ice.
