I did it. I FUCKING did it and I will NEVER do it again. Seriously. Fuck this hike and this bloody mountain 🤣

No, I'm not kidding. I will never do this hike again. The only reason I did it is because of this challenge, so I had no choice. This hike can go kick rocks 🤣

I completed this hike on my second attempt. I was unable to complete this hike the first time I tried. I turned around after 3 miles because it was too hot, and as I discovered once I got home, 3 liters of water would not have been enough. So I did it again, with 4.5 liters of water, and came home with less than 1 liter left.

I started at 6:45 a.m. and conditions were very different from the first time I tried it. It was a cloudy and foggy Sunday morning, plus it was raining a little. It felt fantastic. But even with the rain I was dripping sweat the entire time. The temperature never got above the high 60s either. Took me a total of just over 7 hours, and that includes breaks. I also managed to climb up to the very top, which means scrambling up a giant boulder. I was scared, but I did it. I finally conquered that fear 💪🏼

Now that I have done the whole thing, I can see why they have labeled it the hardest hike in the county. This hike is insanely hard. Every single person who passed me (because let's be honest, I did not pass a single person) was also huffing and puffing and doing everything possible to keep breathing and not die 🤣
