This is what I like to call the big Kahuna! This is the second time I’ve summited Mount Baldy and it always feels like quite the accomplishment for me. The climb via the backbone feels open and I loved all the boulders and the view of the bowl . Once you get to the top the views are just breathtaking from every angle. We hiked down the mountain via the Baldy Bowl trail and that feels more like hiking through a forest. Lots of gravel and steep down hills combined with nice foliage. The ski hut was cool too! This hike makes me want to climb higher elevations like Mount Whitney! That’s on my bucket list too! 😉
