Started this hike on a cloudy Saturday morning art 7:37 am. It was sprinkling on the freeway drive towards the mountain but luckily encountered no rain on the trail. We reached the peak at 9:49am. This hike was fairly easy but the last mile is challenging and very rocky so be prepared and definitely invest in some hiking poles! This was our 6th peak so we officially completed the challenge, yay! Wow it was definitely not easy but when I first started I didn’t even know if we would complete it. Now I know we are capable of doing this and so much more! The bar has been set and I am hoping for a summit of Whitney next summer!! We still might try and sneak a Gorgonio summit this year if weather permits but if not I am still happy to have hiked these 6 peaks! Out of all 6 peaks, San Jacinto Peak had the nicest view, San Bernardino was the toughest and Cucamonga was the worst due to bees swarming us while at the summit and the relentless mosquitoes in Icehouse Canyon. Lastly , Baden-Powell was the easiest with its nice and easy switchbacks. Strawberry peak I rate you a 6.5 out of 10 on the difficulty scale solely because of the last mile. Happy Trails!
