Gorgeous blue sky day but a bit of smoke and wind rolled in on the descent. Starting temp 35 but warmed up quickly into low 80s. Hiked with two new friends whom also had never hiked South Sister before. The loose rock and sand was a challenge but doable. Glacier melt sounds and appearance were stunning.
