Started trail with new growth through all the old burn . Zigzagged to hit snow on trail. Had yaks but definitely could have used poles!!! Determined to get to the top we looked for boot prints to follow-that helped ! Highlight was walking up the ridge to be greeted by all the snow tipped mountains seemingly sooo close 🙂 Terrific hike !
