We went into this hike confident and left deflated. In fact I didn’t log my hike cause I didn’t think I’d do any more (spoiler alert – I did!). We had been hiking around SoCal and I came across the 6 Pack challenge and thought – we can do that! This hike was quite an eye opener.

Temps were good; little too cold at top (high 30’s). Everyone passed us (especially on the upper half). We hiked up the back way and down the front. The scenery was lovely. Though we didn’t eat, appreciated the offer of pancakes, coffee and bacon when passing through Sruce Campground. Lots of hikers except when we veered onto the Lower Winter Creek trail.
