Oh boy, what a hike this was! I've been anxious about this peak ever since I signed up for the challenge. Some colleagues who have done this in the past told me it was a difficult hike and they weren't lying. A high school friend and I started the trail at around 4:30 AM to chase the sunrise, but we underestimated how long it would take us to reach the top so we didn't get there on time. However, the view was still beautiful! We stopped for some photos about halfway through the trail since the skyline looked amazing with the pink, orange, and purple hues. There were only a handful of other people hiking around the same time as us, but they were lovely and supportive of us. They even told us that we would get freebies after the hike since it was Veterans' Day! Unlike my usual hikes, the hike going back to the parking lot felt even harder than reaching the summit. Maybe because we were already tired and we still had to climb up on the way back haha. Overall, I enjoyed this hike and would do it again with another experienced hiker.
