Whew, I was finally able to finish this peak! When my friend and I last went here over the summer, we couldn’t finish the hike because it was too hot and there was little shade in the first 2 miles of the trail. Luckily, today had a cooler weather. The first two miles were pretty steep, but wasn’t too difficult. What made it challenging for us was the lack of shade at the beginning of the hike. However, towards the end of the trail, we were mesmerized by the pine trees and fall colors. There were only two other people who hiked the summit while we were there, so it was so quite and we could hear pretty much everything going on around us! Overall, this was a challenging but rewarding hike.
