One of the more easier hikes so far. We arrived to the trailhead around 6:30am and parked inside the gated parking lot across the street from the Candy Store, per the Hiking Guys suggestion. Shortly after we entered the trailhead, we found the visitor sign-in form and filled it out. It was a fairly mild hike and the trail was easy to follow with the turn-by-turn instructions from the Hiking Guy – no complaints there! We found the helicopter wreckage, too. Crazy to see after so many years from the crash. The last .4 is the real hike and basically an uphill climb. It was a perfect day, weather was perfect AND we had the entire trail to ourselves the entire day. Did not see one person on the trail that day or that we passed on the way down. When we got to the top, we had a taco making party and some dessert in celebration of our friends birthday. Happy Birthday, Chelsea!!
