This was the beginning of our journey. Just a couple of scared friends hoping to finish what we started by the end of the year. (Scared cuz we started in July and aren’t the most in shape people on the trail) This story has a happy ending people so stay tuned! Sawmill was the easiest of all the trails we hiked. The air was so clean you could smell it! For a city girl such as myself being that far in the forest was magical! Anyway when we got to the top we were like “Hey, that wasn’t so bad!” Boy were we gonna eat those words soon!
