We did this as a short 1 night backpacking trip, camping at Sata Springs. There was a lot of hype about this being a difficult hike, but it really wasn’t that bad. If you’ve spent anytime backpacking in the Sierra this won’t seem that bad. Our kids were a little tired at times but did great.
