Killer trail to do late summer (our mistake). Brought lots of water, was given much more on the hike. First couple miles going down in a bit of shade before the first big hill kills all your energy. Nice walk along the ridge to reach halfway point, but still a lot of exposure. Coming back up through the campgrounds was a good break from the sun, but it was even nicer when the sun went down.
