Another great day on a SoCal trail! I was joined today by my friends Tara and Chris Meyers and their canine kid, Meka. They brought two additional guests for the hike, Lou and Cameron. One of which will make her second attempt at Denali soon and will complete her 7th summit of the Seven Summits. Pretty badass! So, cool to share the trail with her and her friend.

We stepped of about 0715 from the Oak Grove Trailhead with 35 degree temps. It was clear and cold all the way to the summit. Temps there were probably right around 32 degrees and the winds were picking up. The route up was a little wet from the previous evenings rain. We didn't encounter much snow at all. Just an inch or so on the ground as we neared the summit. The two small weather systems that came through the night before and a few days ago didn't bring much snow at all. This made for an easy traverse both up and down the mountain.
