Simply put: this hike is gorgeous. There are so many variations in landscape, geology, and flora. Grassy meadows, a cypress forest, rock formations, oak groves, and more. We got there around 11am on a Sunday and I thought it would be crowded due to the number of vehicles parked on the road, but it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. While on this hike, it was hard to believe I was still in southern California. Just gorgeous!!
