We got permits to camp over night at High Creek Campground. Hiked up Vivian Creek trail to the campground. The first mile going up the mountain was changing. I found the hike very beautiful and nothing like people have said (being boring) After setting up camp we continued to the peak and the last two miles to the summit were challenging. Half an hour after coming down the mountain we got caught in an unpredicted thunderstorm. We didn’t want to risk getting caught in worst weather so we hiked out at night. Thank goodness for All Trails App. We ended up finishing the hike soaked but I can definitely say I have stories to tell about this hike for the rest of my life. I’m still processing that I summited San Gorgonio! ???? Wow!!
