Lots of water on the trail! For a day after a big rain the trail was in pretty good condition. We did have to trudge through some soggy areas but nothing major and we never were shut out by the water. The weather was beautiful and the views from the top were incredible as always. PLEASE STOP THROWING YOUR TRASH ON THE TRAIL OR AT THE PEAK! Someone probably thought they were doing something cool by leaving a POW flag at the peak but that flag is sitting in a mud puddle is now  trash and the impact you meant it to have is ruined. Please don’t bring anything to leave behind. Someone also seriously spit pistachio shells all over the peak. I picked up some but there was just too many. So gross. If you don’t see what is wrong with leaving shells, peels and pits in the wilderness please stay home! Those things don’t break down and disrupt so much! Plus it’s distugusting.  Anyway hopefully that will be my last rant of the year!
