Due to the storms that had been coming through the week before, there was a lot of water running down the trail in the first 2 miles when we started. It caused some creeks to run through the trail and cause a lot of muddy areas. It was pretty manageable especially with waterproof boots on. The rain had made all the surrounding hills covered in beautiful green foliage. By the time we got to the top, the rain had stopped and the sun had started to peek through. Overall it was a great hike and we had a lot of fun! A great first hike to start off 2023 & the Six Peaks Challenge. Will definitely be back.
