First hike of the Six Pack of Peaks Southern Cali Challenge in 2023 solo.  Did this one without the dog.  While trail didn't have obstacles, it was washed out in some areas due to all the rain in the first three weeks of the year.  Lots of green and a few flowers starting to bloom but not many.  This place will be beautiful in a month or so.  The views were great as it was a clear day in mid 50s to low 60s.  I could see Catalina Island as well as Mt Baldy and San Gorgonio which were snow covered.  The trail was pretty crowded so I elected to take the longer route back to the candy store to enjoy the better views and get some space to myself.  Some hikers were playing their radios extremely loud so it was good to get away from that.  The groups at the peak were all very nice and offering to take photos of each other.  The last 0.3 mile to the peak was really steep grade and on my way down my feet just slipped out from under me landing me on my butt.  No pain, but thankful to have used my poles for this one.  I would do it again with friends.
