This is our 2nd time hiking this trail. Started a little after 5am. The weather was crisp and cold. It was a bit dark so we used a flashlight. The trails was closed for a short while due to erosion from the recent rain. We were happy it was reopened and we were able to hike today. The clouds were loud and beautiful. There were patches of snow on the ground at the top by the observatory. We couldn't find the Mount Wilson sign, although we later learned from fellow hikers that it was by Chantry Flats trailhead. We logged a total of 15 miles with 4800 ft elevation gain. It was a beautiful day for a hike and we also saw other Social Hikers which made it fun.
