This was a super challenging trail for me. I am proud I was able to finish it as a year ago I was recovering from a broken back. 💪. This trail definitely pushed me to my personal limit, mentally and physically.
Overall the Maine trail was in great shape. Some muddy areas and some access road wet puddles with frozen water.
Upper trail was very brush dense. Ripped my pants ☹️. Wear long sleeves and long pants or you will get cut up from the long stretch of dense brush.
The summit was beautiful and the views were incredible. Only downside was some very disrespectful hikers at the top were completely drunk and abnoxisouly loud. Many people left because they could not enjoy the nature quietly. Please don't be like these people.
The hike down was much easier and we finished quickly. There were some dirt bike riders on the lower narrow trail so be very aware and careful you don't get run over.
