Mt. Diablo Summit

Nice day to hike Diablo, mostly clear skies and cool temperatures.  We took the Mitchel Rock trail>Eagle Peak>North Peak>Summit trail to the summit, Juniper>Deer Flat>Mitchell Canyon Road back to the visitor center.  Trail up to the summit was pretty dry, about the same as the previous times I have hiked it.  Hike down was in good condition except for a couple of small muddy areas on Mitchell Canyon Road in the last couple of miles  but it really was not an issue.  There are a few steep gravel slippery areas particularly between Eagle Peak and North Peak that treking poles were helpful.
