El Cajon Mtn

Great day for a hike, cool with clear skies. I definitely recommend doing this hike early in the year before the heat sets in.  This hike is difficult and any extra heat would make it a true bear.  Trail was firm with no dust due to recent rains.  The wild flowers were just staring to blossom.  I expect there will be many more in a week or so.  A lot of ups and down so return was almost as challenging as the out bound.  Make sure you have comfortable shoes.  The views at the top showing neighboring snow covered peaks was outstanding.
