We did the long route up to Mission Peak that got us a total of 3032ft elevation gain in 10.25 miles.  We started from the Ohlone college parking lot and at the restroom (intersection of Peak trail & Hidden Valley trail), we took the hidden valley trail going down and climbed up the summit from the south side via Peak meadow and Horse heaven trails.  At the beginning of the trail from Ohlone college via Peak trail, we also took the YSC trail to the left that goes up an unnamed hill that eventually connects back with the Peak trail.  Given that it was the week after the heavy rains here in the bay area, a section of the Peak trail had turned into a small pond and we had to traverse around it by going the slippery slope (see the attached picture). Some sections of the Peak meadow and horse heaven trails had turned into 0.5 feet deep soggy clay, but we somehow managed to cross those hurdles.
