Bring Your Gloves!

Having not lived my entire life in Arizona, I couldn’t get the name of this peak correct, so I finally resorted to Pistachio Peak! And when I saw the first set of cables (one of many) I thought I was NUTS to have not brought my gloves! The hike was simply amazing and very challenging at times – which I loved. Cable-assisted intermittent climbs keeps your heart rate up into Zone 4 most of the time, and it’s exhilarating to see where you’ve been… and where you’re going. Can you say burn those calories?! Fabulous experience! This hike remains one of my favorites this year.
