Some really slick ice patches and some very muddy sections of trail, but beautiful views throughout. Special gear not needed but poles helped on the way up. We took the Azalea Glen Loop trail up which was way more scenic than the fire road which we took down. Next time, I think we'd take a longer more scenic way down to complete the loop.
