I wanted to bag this peak before the finishers party and finish with the original 6 plus 3 alternates before 9/30. Unfortunately, due to a horrible cold, I only made it to the notch and decided it was the right decision to turn back around. But I wasn’t defeated. My friend and I went back and did the loop today, notch up and bowl down! We completed and I’m happy to say I finished what I came here to start!

For future reference, I would suggest the bowl up and the notch down. The bowl is steep and tough on the decent! Also, there’s a little snow now but it will only accumulate from here so anyone planning to do this hike going forward should pack their spikes just in case!
