To get to the trailhead you have to take a dirt road for a couple of miles. There are a lot of potholes so be cautious. There was a lot of running water, pools of water, and mud on the trail. I recommend waterproof footwear. There is not much shade. It was a chilly morning so it was a gorgeous hike. The views at the top are amazing! Not a difficult hike.
