Nice hike up the fire road but dang it was cold and windy! Not too many people on the trail, but a couple groups of forest service workers out there breaking up some ice patches and clearing trees! we saw a couple going up as we were coming down, and they were definitely not dressed for what they were going to encounter at the peak! Dress warm, lots of layers. There is very minimal snow… Two small patches to cross, but no big deal.
