Getting Ari back out on the trails to start training for half dome in June we took the long venture out to Corte Madera. Located about 40 miles east of San Diego this is pretty far out there. It is a beautiful area and well maintained trail and getting there at 6:40 we had the place to ourselves for the summit. I was a little concerned on the drive out as the temperature hit 28 degrees a few miles before the trailhead but it ended up being a beautiful day. Fun, shorter hike visiting San Diego’s Half Dome. This was my final mountain to complete the 7 of the San Diego six pack. We celebrated with a couple of Pliny’s at Churchills in San Marcos on the way home. All in all a fun day!
