I hiked with my dogs and my boyfriend. It was cold and rainy, there were a few spots where there was ice on the trail, and there were some slippery spots, especially for the second half of the trail where there were a lot of roots. That being said, it was still a beautiful trail, not too crowded on the way up but we passed a lot of people on our way down. This trail is ‘famous' for the wild horses that can normally be found along the trail, but we didn't even see one!
The trail was well maintained and blazes were commonly found throughout, I followed a route on AllTrails but I wasn't able to find the USGS forest service marker at the top.
It was still a great day and I highly recommend this trail! I have a feeling I'll be back, hopefully I'll see the horses next time.
At the time I'm writing this, I haven't posted yet but check on https://pepperhikes.com/ soon for my full hike log/review! 🙂
