First hike of the 6! Generally overcast but descent conditions. A little fog and mist in the air so rocks were a little greasy.  Extra attention required for footing in the more challenging sections. Choose to take Spellman trail on the ascent.   Steepest trail, though not technical,  requires hand scrambles.  Broke the treeline and was surprised by the wind gusts.  Park HQ predicted 20 mph gusts but felt more like 30 mph.  Trekking poles and glove liners were thr only real accessories required.  No summit views, pretty much a tag and descend because of the wind.  Great day, great start!
