We saw two baby Garter Snakes, one run right in front of me and the other one was half way down in a tiny hole in the middle of the trail (probably got so scared hearing us coming down).

This was my first time hiking this mountain and I really enjoyed it with great sceneries. Also the weather was great. I think El Capitan/El Cajon is harder. I have already summited the other peaks on this challenge in years past. However, I don’t mind hiking these mountains again to get a tag for my hiking backpack.
